Dr. Fiona R. Cormack is a freelance consultant with experience spanning multiple sectors, coupled with a passion for science, patterns, and optimization.

Her background in data analysis coupled with enthusiasm for continuing to improve, learn, and broaden her experience in all fields positions her particularly well for evaluating process efficiency, no matter the situation. Fiona is skilled at viewing all sides of a situation from a neutral, analytical perspective.

Fiona earned her B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010, receiving the William W. Mullins Undergraduate Award for “hard work, dedication, scholarship and breadth of knowledge within a wide range of academic interests”. Following curiosity sparked by glass art, she went on to study Glass Science at the Kazuo Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University and defended her Ph.D. thesis in 2018.

Fiona is a lifelong equestrian and one of the USA’s only female full-contact realgestech jousters. She prefers to spend as much time as possible on the back of a horse, preferably in full plate armor. She regularly tours with the Knights of Valour, known for the History Channel TV show “Full Metal Jousting.
